I would think that if the socket wasn't open through the firewall that there would be an error other than a timeout. Therefore I would go with proxy server down. Any comments anyone??????

I'd say the firewall answer is best. If the proxy were down, you couldn't connect to any sites. The question hints that other connections work, just not for that socket. (If you had no connections at all, it would ask about that problem instead.)

As for the index, Keywords look for specific words - they do not have to be together. Full text index would allow you to say x+y together, not all instances of x where y can also be found somewhere on the site/page.

I am sure about this because. In some firewall like Checkpoint Firewall-1 you can set to reject or drop packet to a specific port. If you set reject you will obtain an error while if you set drop, you will get a timeout error. So the right answer is the firewall one.

For the index question i agree with Crescent.

Thanks
