One more - flashcards – too easy?

| One more Q for the group since I'm feeling greedy today...
I've been using those famous flash cards and finding them really easy - not that I would know every answer if I had to fill in the blank, but the multiple choice sometimes makes the answer somewhat or intuitively obvious.
I really like the flash cards and I'm super appreciative someone did them...but I guess the bottom line is, is the exam like this also? or are the flash cards comparatively easy?
Thanks for any insight!!

| Hi Heather,
I haven't taken the i-NET+ exam yet, but I would say the flash cards are a great help and cover lots of relevant material. The way the questions are worded, it looks like they're designed to help teach the material, as opposed to measuring how much you know.
However, from what I hear, the actual exam questions have some of the most confusing wording I can imagine. You'll need to read them carefully and try to understand what they're looking for. The process of elimination helps to reduce the number of possibilities.
A good example is this one:
A Web page looks cluttered to a user, he has same browser as you, what is wrong?
A. Failed to test in multiple browsers
B. MIME type is wrong
C. Lowest common resolution was not used
D. Page was badly handled by server
"A" can be eliminated since the user is using the same browser as you.
"D" doesn't seem to make much sense so I would eliminate it.
"B" seems like a possibility, because an incorrect MIME type would cause the browser to use the wrong application to interpret the data. But would the user see a "cluttered" screen, or illegible garbage?
"C" may be the best choice here. As someone mentioned in a previous thread a couple of days ago, if you design the page at 800 by 600 and the user is running at 640 by 480, the graphic images may become disproportionately large and give a cluttered effect.
Bottom line is it all depends on what CompTIA means by "cluttered"
Good luck,
BobR

| Yes, I guess I kind of figured that the test couldn't be that easy. But I do agree, the flash cards detailed answers do help explain some things. Thanks for the feedback!
