Author Least secure question?

2000-08-08, 9:00 pm

If the company network or a segment of a network is connected to the Internet, that segment is called Extranet. For exam remember that Extranet is the least secure type of network because an intruder can gain an access from the Internet.

Most of what I have seen from people say Internet is least secure. This is a cut and paste from the notes on this site. What do you guys think?

Thanks.

I have to disagree. The Internet is the least secure of the choices given on that question.

From i-Net+ Exam Cram, page 244: "An extranet, like an intranet, uses Internet technologies, but an extranet extends limited access to various partners such as customers and vendors." This "limited access" makes an extranet a bit more secure than the internet.
