Could someone help me out on these please?

1. How do you calculate how many seconds it takes to download a ??? byte file with a ??? modem?

2. What DNS record tells you who is responsible for a domain?

3. What is the JPEG color depth?

4. What exactly is a Network Address Translation Service?

5. Who approves the standards for anti-virus software?

Thanks.

I found #4. Network Address Translation Service is a device that enables a range of private IP addresses on an intranet, while still allowing IPs for the Internet.

First some basics.
Modems usually works with async.protocol-
this means it uses (mostly) one startbit and one stoppbit.
A byte is eight bits. So we end up with the conclusion - A modem transfers totaly 10 bits to transfer a byte. So for an exampel a 7000 byte big file consists of 70000 bits when transferd in any direction.
A 56k modem will take 70000/56000 = 1.25 secunds to transfer the file (hope this helpt)
