Author I Passed...Achieved 80%

2000-06-24, 6:38 am

Hey, folks no joke...the i-Net exam is "hard". I prepared myself by doing intensive study(daily). I had one text to study from and that was i-Net+ for Dummies. Very good book! Read this front to back and back to front. The author has an excellent CD-ROM in this book, which has tough questions on the practice exams. I did these over and over over until achieving over 90%. All my study was topped by reviewing the ExamSlam website.

Listen folks you have to be mentally armed before taking these exams. CompTIA is making these exams NOT so easy. And they will play with the wording. It is up to you to pick up on it by not rushing through to the exam.

Sorry. I don't remember any questions clearly enough to give dumps. It was so damn hard I was more concerned with passing it.

But I do remember this: Know JavaSript codes for copyright protection. The one on the test started with <script> and ended with </script>

Good Luck All!

As far as the dumps that I used, I just reviewed the examslam site which consisted of dumps put into 2 practice test formats. But I only saw about 30% to 40% of the questions from the dumps on my exam (not bad). The rest had to come from my knowledge of the subject matter. So get your hands on a good i-Net+ book, or any thing that has the structure of internet as main topic. There's a magazine I bought months ago (last year)that helped me as well, called Internet Basics by PC Novice Learning Series. This is excellent reading if you can get your hands on it. They do a series of topics on computers, software, etc. And they explain things in plain english. Check your local book store for these type of mags in the magazine section.

BEST OF LUCK!

PS: Try and know 150% of the subject...I found the test hard for one who isn't fully prepared. Make sure you know everything from the Basics to Business o the internet.

Congratulations ukboy. Hey!! I got a question for you (if you don't mind). How did you get your transcender software? Did you pay for them or is there a way to get them without paying for it? I bought so much studying material that I'm starting to wonder, if people are just getting the software from somewhere. Is really getting damn expensive.

Thanks for any input!!

Gordy,

I've never used transender software before and I don't even know where to get it. I simply studied my i-Net+ Dummies book (jammed with info and easy to understand) and did the CD-ROM that came with it, as well as the downloading the examslam website practice exams from Phantom. And other items on the subject of internet.

Good Luck!

Thanks Ukboy. I'll have to get the Net+ for dummies and check it out then.
