Question for Sci Fi
|
|
|
| Sci Fi,
I checked out your dump and it looks great! I have started studying for I-net+ and it will be a big help.
Would you mind if I include the I-Net+ questions you posted in a I-Net+ test file for Exam Drill II? If you are not familiar with Exam Drill II, you can read all about it on the Network+ Discussion Board on this site. Below is a copy of a posting I made at the Network+ site, which explains the plan.
"The new web site for downloading Exam Drill and Exam Drill II is now available.
The url is www.examdrill.com
This site is in the early development phase but you should be able to download either version of Exam Drill.
The free beta test is still in effect. All I ask is that you give me some feedback on the program. There is a tutorial included with Exam Drill II and it will make you aware of some conveniences you may not discover right away just from exploring it yourself.
Currently, only Network+ questions are available, but the plan is to have test files for a variety of different certifications.
The test "question" files will be free. Since the questions come from people like ourselves who take the time to post them, I think we can assume the folks who post the questions would not want someone collecting them and then trying to sell them.
However, after the beta test is complete, there will be a small one time charge for the Exam Drill program itself. Users who download it during the beta test will be able to download any new "question" files for free as they become available.
For now, Exam Drill is free, so feel to download it and study, study, study...
BobR"
Thanks for the great dump and please let me know if I may use it. It will help a lot of people if I can include it in the I-Net+ file.

| That's funny how you ask for a permission to use braindumps. braindumps are usualy real exam question submitted by others in violation of the NDA.
If you realy want a permission to use braindumps, why don't you email CompTIA for it? It's their questions.

| Bob,
Right on!
I was wondering when you were going to do an I-NET+ exam drill ...
I enjoyed the Network+ drill you did as it helped me pass with a 98.

| Stan has a point, if you start charging for using Exam Drill then that may put you outside of the gray area. I know they are monitoring ( whoever police these sites) I ask for sites that may have SUN ADMIN practice questions so I could study and learn from them just like I do here and the next day I gat a E-Mail from SUN saying that I cannot do that. WOW I said to myself no wonder I cannot find SUN UNIX 2.6 admin stuff. So proceed with lots of guided from knowledgeable people.

| Stan, you make a good point and I too, have wondered if Comptia monitors these sites that have braindumps. If I were in their shoes, I would.
For that reason, I reworded all the questions that are included with the Network+ file but tried to keep the same subject matter so people would understand the answer when they take the exam.
From one point of view, we could both argue that studying braindumps is cheating (since many or even most of the questions are almost word for word like the exam.) Another way to look at it, is if a person studys one or more books plus the braindumps, they are simply working hard to prepare themselves. People who pass the exams just by studying the braindumps, are cheating themselves, plus the company that hires them. But there will always be somebody trying to beat the system instead of working for what they get.
When I look at some of the questions on the real (Network+) exam, I don't know how I could have been expected to know the answer without the braindumps. Some of them simply were not in any of the three books which I read and studied. People that use The Network+ Discussion board on this site were a great help in providing answers and explanations
The answer to your question of why ask permission to use people's dumps is that people sometimes go to a lot of trouble to include explanations with their questions and I think it would be less than courteous to help myself to them. Also, I have NO plans to try to sell the questions.
I plan to try to market the test engine called Exam Drill II which can be used to study the braindump questions, or any other study questions someone may want to create a file for. I am not trying to "to beat the system", as I have devoted countless hours of tedious work in developing this program and I believe it is a very useful product for studying and preparing for exams. For now, I am offering it for free, and taking a way and see approach before charging for it. You are welcome to try it for yourself for free and see what you think.
Sincerely,
BobR

Not at all, in fact most of what is in the "Raw Versions" dump came from other dumps. I simply changed some of the wording to match what I saw on the test & cleaned up the format.
The "What I Remember" dump is more exactly what I saw on my test (which is probably still being rotated by CompTIA).
Anyway I posted them to help others with this resource shy certification so use'em both but please make the help free to others.
Thanks!

| Thanks Sci Fi,
Since Stan's comment a couple of days ago, I am leaning toward keeping Exam Drill II free and allowing others to create and post test files at the Exam Drill site. I simply don't have time to try and create files for multiple exams and researsh the answers for the questions. As you probaly have seen, many of the dumps contain wrong answers.
Anyhow, thanks and I will add your dump to a new iNet+ file,
BobR |
