| I passed today with a 77. The study material I used did not prepare me for anything that was on the test, that I could not have gotten from the braindumps or cramsessions. I used the sybex exam notes, I would not reccommend it if you have no experience in the IT field. Maybe the study guide is better, but you need another source of information. I used a site to look up a lot of things that I was not familiar with, www.webopedia.com. Well here goes, I will try to post what I remember that is different from the braindumps.
What is an example of a hosts file entry?

| In regard to the following 2 questions
1. What supports vectored graphics?
a) Flash ***
b) QTVR
c) Shockwave
d) Real Player
a) FLASH support vector graphic
2.What supports vectored streaming audio files?
a) Real Player***
b) Shockwave
c) Flash
d) Something else
A vectored steaming audio file does not make any sence. Vector has to do with graphic files not audio files.
a) Real Player will give you streaming audio file. | |

| Which protocol is more secure?
PPP
L2TP
JAVA
SMTP
I could be wrong here but I beleive that none of these protocols are secure, not one more than another. But PPTP protocol would be the proper answer for this question.
L2TP requires IPsec to be secure
PPP not secure
Java is a lanquage
SMTP is also not secure
PPTP is the only secure protocol that would fit this picture, must be a typo PPP to PPTP.

| One of arobjr's questions,
Which protocol uses authentication?
ICMP
SNMP
they were the only protocols listed
---------------------------------
If the ans include IMAP, it will be it---sybex N+ Stydy Guide: Internet Mail Access Protocol (IMAP) allows users to download mail selectively, to look at msg header, to download just a part of a msg…IMAP has strong authentication features and support the authentication scheme…
One poster has indicated that there was a question on Kerberos... | |

QTVR
shockwave

what supports vectored streaming audio files?
real player
shockwave
flash********** Is the answer
I think this is sort of a trick question
I have looked on macromedia's tech files and no where have i found vector associated with Shockwave but i have found numerous articals on Flash. Also i have looked in my i-net book and found that vector is ONLY assosiated with graphics (duh). The streaming audio part is a no brainer, it has to be Flash again, Shockwave does NOT suport vector and real audio does not also, just from my info.

| Sorry Manity, but your answers are wrong, those two questions were on my exam. I answered Flash for both of em' and missed. Cause at the end of my test, it showed what areas I missed and one said. In determining differences in multimedia plug-ins.

| I am not trying to get in the middle of things here but to put my two cents in and further my knowedge...
I am taking about Manity and Bigmike.
Here is definition of Flash.....
Flash plug-in allows you to view Maccrodia,INC. Flash animations and audio files.
Flash usd vector graphics, which displays objects as a collections of lines, rather than as a collection of individual dots or poxels, as bitmapped graphics do.
So Manity1 gets the first question right... I do not understand why Mike gat it wrong on his test. Maybe it was worded diferently..
As for vectored streaming audio files, I have not found any info on it. On less they mean streaming media.
Streaming media is streaming video with sound
Maybe someone else can illuminte the second question.

| Hmm... maybe I got mixed up. I know I missed one of em'. I answered flash for them both. So maybe the firstone is right and second wrong. All I know is that it said I did not determind multimedia plug-in's correctly. So that leads me to believe I missed the second one.

Actually, PERL should be the answer. Although it's ran server-side, it's not a scipting language. C++ must be compiled into an executable. Java must be compiled as well, and HTML is well, client-side.
