Brainbench TCP/IP Exam
|
|
|
| Brainbench (www.brainbench.com) has just released a TCP/IP exam. It's more detailed than the i-Net+ but pretty funky. And you actually do get the certificate they talk about (and they're more snazzy than CompTIA's but don't mean as much. ). They gotta slew of 'em. Kinda fun. ANd hey they're free too.

| True true I have a few brainbench (Unix and Computer Technician) certificates. My only complain is that some of the questions are as bad as comptia. Mmmmm I wonder if the same people work for both companys.....

| Got a few myself. Must say the question are of better quality. Unfortunately it is not free anymore. | |

| Any thoughts on the value of Brainbench certifications? It seems that they aren't widely recognized.
I don't think that it would make much sense to put a lot of preparation time into them (only take those tests you can pass w/o study.) The only one I've taken is High IT Aptitude. Should I put this on my resume?

| They're not free anymore? I just went back to their site and it says that they're still free.

| Brainbench cert's not free anymore? I just went there and they still were. Maybe you were clicking on Certification Prep, which they charge for. Just login to your account, and then there's the optin 'Request FREE exam' and select 'er from the list. | |

| From my experience, the Brainbench certifications are MUCH harder than the CompTIA exams. You need to really know your stuff before taking any of them. |
