| This is a reply on Phantom309 post. Some of my questions are the same as Bigmike:s so Iīll put my post here:Thanks for the test!
Iīm taking the exam this week. But I have some questions to the questions at the free on line test. ...(hm)
Maybe because english isnīt my motherlanguage I donīt really understand them.
Can someone actually EXPLAIN the answer, to these questions, why I should answer this, and not that. Please... :
1) Based on speed and cost, which Internet bandwidth link type would be the best choice for a small ISP serving 100 dial-up users?
56K *
T1
T3
ATM
My ?: Why 56K, if Iīm an ISP, shouldnīt there be a better, faster technic to use. I mean, 100 customers and one small modem???
2)In order to be an e-commerce server, a computer must offer what services?
Credit card Autentication
Directory Queries
Virtual shopping cart services *
My ?: Why is that the best answer?
What is Microsoft's preferred server-side scripting language called?
VBScript *
Active Server Pages (ASP)
My ?: I thought ASP was Microsofts prefferd server-side scripting language .. am I wrong?
3)What is the fastest video card mode for displaying web graphics?
24 bit *
8 bit
32 bit
64bit
My?: I donīt understand this question, for whos side, me or the webclient?
4)Streaming media formats allow slowdowns in the data stream by.....
Storing media information in a database *
Building up a buffer of data before playback begins
My?: buidning up a buffer seems right to me. Am I gone fishing ..?
5)Using a protocol analyzer or other device to intercept and decode packets sent to and from the server in order to find the account ID and password is called...
Spoofing *
Ping Flood
Syn attack
My ?: Are we taking "sniffing" here or what, no answer seems right to me?
6)If you want to have secure communications on your intranet, what must you implement in order to create your own key pairs?
Certificate Server
VPN *
My?: I just need someone to explain this.
7)Which is a server side script?
PERL *
JAVA
C++
My ?: Why not JAVA or C++ ??? I thougt that you could write CGI script in C++ and run on the server side ...?
8)
Search engines use meta tags .......
To index sites *
Locate sites on the internet
My?: Isnīt both answers OK?
Thatīs it, I really hope that someone out there are good to EXPLAIN my ???.

Ad Slogans; Graphics and content is protected by Copyright.
quote: · What is the least secure
...Internet = what braindumps says
Yup, Internet. Some might say Extranet, but at least Extranets can filter people out.
quote: · Based on speed and cost, which Internet bandwidth link type would be the best choice for a

...56K = = what braindumps says
I don't know about anyone else but I'd go with a T1 line. Imagine serving 100 dial-up users through a 56K modem connection. That's basically this:
"INTERNET" ---56K------YOUR ISP-----56K USER x100
*shudder*
quote: · If no expiration date is set, how ling will the cookies stay in effect?
...Until the computer is rebooted = what braindumps says
...Forever = what sybex book says
Actually the answer is "when the browser is closed". But if that answer isn't there, go for "rebooted".
quote: · Which security is the standard for secure online transactions
...SET = what all the braindumps says
...SSL = is what Sybex Says
Trust them, it's SET
quote: · Which of the following has the least impact on apparent web site performance
...RAM in the client = what every braindump says
...RAM in the Server = what sybex says
The answer is the RAM in the client. It doesn't matter how much memory the user has.

| Thanks Adam, for the help on those questions. I am still not sure bout the 56k Question, I asked a engineer at work and he said 56k. He tried exlaining it but it didn't make sence. I think T1 is the right answer, but I'm not an engineer...

| I know what you mean. Using a 56K modem as the connection between your ISP to the internet is going to be bogged down by 100 dialup users (maybe not all at the same time but still(. If the choice was there, I'd say xDSL since that'd be way cheaper than a T1 and still would do good on bandwidth.
