| Hi everyone,
got the i-Net+ last week. Going straight to the point ... questions are mostly 1/2 line(s) long. So it is basically 'what this is ?'. No problems (and eventually I have found out that the wording is not too bad either). I have used i-Net+ for Dummies (it is missing only a couple of topics) and this board (plus a good background in networking). Now ... if you want to pass the exam, let's say, only for the sake of it, look at the questions posted here and you will be fine (also you won't need to research too much as the answers are for the majority correct). This is why I am not posting questions as they are all already posted ! If you like the challenge of a fairly easy exam to get out with a 1000, well, get the CompTIA blue prints, match the topics with the Dummies and search the net for whatever is missing (there are plenty of resources). This was my approach, but to perfectly honest I have failed the 1000 for two questions. If you have no idea what the internet is and what a proxy server does, you will need a study guide going deeper in the topics than the Dummies. Looks like Sybex is right on track again and I would take a look to sites like ExamNotes (if you can find any better) to familiarize with the topics in a very direct way. Did I leave out anyone ? To recap ... i-Net+ is easier than Network+ and just a little bit tougher than the A+. If you had scored in the 900s in any internet related Microsoft exam, this will feel and look much easier. And as I was saying, for any desperate soul out there, happy to collect papers and show them, hanging on the walls, beautifully framed, to their most PC unknowledged friends, this site has all the answers for you too ! Now it's time to move to Cisco (and this is seriously what most of us should do), then a beautiful month into SQL 70-029 (just got out from a course. I could go through the door in the morning, but I needed to use the window in the evening as my head was doubled in size ...) and then again Windows 2000 (another must for all of us, I believe). Check out in the meantime Server+ from CompTIA (available in Beta this autumn) and the CIW tracks. God bless you all. |
