| Hi. I have been looking over Randy's braindump questions (thanks Randy) and I would like some 2nd opinions on some of the answers.
9. Which network hardware device connects dissimilar network topologies into an internetwork?
A. Gateway ?
B. Router
C. Bridge ?
D. Hub
27. A _________ is an SMTP server that sends e-mails it receives to a list of e-mail recipients, forming a "discussion group"?
A. List Server ?
B. E-commerce server
C. Web Server
D. News Server ?
31. If you try to go to a web site and the browser receives the message "The server is not responding", what could be the problem?
A. There is a misconfigured router
B. The server does not have a DNS entry ?
C. The server is overloaded ?
D. The file does not exist on the server
44. Configuring a router to advertise routes that either don't exist nor aren't where they say they are known as what kind of an attack?
A. Man-in-the middle
B. Ping Flood
C. SYN Flood ?
D. Spoofing ?

The answer to that would be a List Server. This will take care of mailing lists. A News Server just contains newsgroups and messages are not sent to individual e-mail addresses but people have to go to the server and see the messages themselves.

If you get that error message, the serve is overloaded with requests and is busy. So you should try again later. If the server does not have a DNS entry, you would get a "Connection could not be made" type of error.

| 9. Router and Gateway can both be the right answer. I think they looking for the andswer "Router"
An ordinary Bridge cannot connect dissimilar architectures. Only translating bridge can.
27. List server. (Almost 100% sure)
31. The server ovelroade. Depending on the type of server, you may get slightly different messages. Apache server sends "Server Unavailabele"
