| I will be taking i-Net+ next week, I have seen some of these before and without going to deep (because its almost 12AM) I've listed what I believe the answers to be.

tend to be disgrunteled.)

39. I have seen this to and can't find
the answer!

| WOW! THANX for that great website.. and oh shoot, i suddenly have this problem.
1.Which TCP/IP protocol is the primary protocol used to transfer text and binary files on the Internet?
a SMTP
b FTP
c LDAP
d LPR
it's not FTP?? i thought it's FTP ....
2.Which two TCP/IP utilities are most similar in function?
PING
NETSTAT
ARP
TRACERT
i thought it's ping and tracert. why ping and arp???
3.If you try to go to web site and the browser receives the message "the server is not responding", what could be the problem?
There is a misconfigured router
The server does not have a DNS entry
The server is overloaded
The file does not exist on the server
i have no idea why answer is b, if the server doesn't have a DNS entry then shouldn't it be something like "page not found"??
i have no confident after doing that online exam now... AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.. anyway, wait for my BAD NEWS

| 1.Which TCP/IP protocol is the primary protocol used to transfer text and binary files on the Internet?
a SMTP
b FTP
c LDAP
d LPR
I would say the answer is B. You could agrue for A, for email, but I think CompTIA wants FTP on this one. Besides FTP was the original protocol for file transfer, emails were originally designed for text only.
2.Which two TCP/IP utilities are most similar in function?
PING
NETSTAT
ARP
TRACERT
The answer is Ping and Tracert. A Tracert is basically a ping with its path shown.
3.If you try to go to web site and the browser receives the message "the server is not responding", what could be the problem?
There is a misconfigured router
The server does not have a DNS entry
The server is overloaded
The file does not exist on the server
The answer is C. If the server isn't responding, its cause it is too busy. If the server didn't have a DNS entry, it would give a server not found error.

On #39 I would vote for the 8bit mode. Less info to deal with, therefore faster response.

| On question 39
For faster video card mode 8 bit is faster, the rest of the question throw alot people off including me. I do not think it matters what it is displaying.
24 bits is the stardard for GIF (I think)
and 32 bit is the stardard for JPEG and others.
I do not think there is a 64 bit for video.

That's a bad question. It makes it sound like what video mode you should set your video card to. I know it's supposed to be asking about what mode to save web graphics at for faster browsing/download.
Nonetheless, it's 8-bit. Web graphics really should be saved that way unless it's using more colors like a scanned picture or poster or something like that. Though JPEG's have better compression, 8-bit graphics are safer to use since (hopefully) everyones computer can view 256 colors.
