Author Post-Exam thoughts

Well, I passed with a 93% yesterday and wanted to give everyone my thoughts. I didn't think the wording was as bad as people have said. Of course it really helps a lot to know your stuff. I think some of the dumps have questions that are incorrect and therefore make the wording seem bad. Either that or CompTIA has updated the questions to make them less confusing.

For Example, a question that I have seen in the dumps:

What can a virus infect
A HUB
B ROUTER
C Network Card
D BRIDGE

There has been some discussion on this question, but on my test, instead of a Router, it had a Gateway listed, which then makes the answer obvious.

Here is the breakdown of the questions that were on my test:
i-Net Basics 6
i-Net Clients 12
Development 14
Networking 19
i-Net Security 11
Business Concepts 10

If you know the material, you should be fine, the questions aren't that confusing.

Good Luck.

It does not matter if it is a Router or a Gateway both can be infected by Virus.
Hubs, NIC cards and Bridges cannot be infected by virus.

Nothing wrong with the Question here.

I have seen the answer NIC card can be infected by virus somewhere here on this forum, wow.

Yes you will find quite a few mistake here on this forum. You have to read and research every piece of info you are unsure of. Do not take my or any answers for granted.

I wrote many exams and they are all the same,
you must RTFQ.

You could ask the following question instead:
Which one of the following cannot be infected by Virus?
a) Router
b) Gateway
c) Firewall
d) Hub

Answer d)

Only the hub cannot be infected by virus here.

I will be writting this exam very shortly and will pass a few pointer out.
