I've read in this forum somewhere that a gateway can provide internet access to non-tcp/ip clients. How is this possible ? Say for example, 2 network segments-1 tcp/ip and 1 ipx/spx. I can see how you can transfer files between the 2 network segments with different protocols by gateway. But an internet app needs to communicate through ports and I can't see how ipx/spx can carry this port request info to the gateway for translation in the first place.

Hmm.. Help anyone ?
