Putting i-net+ To The Test
|

| Congrats to all the folks who have passed the i-net+ cert exam. I have a question for you -- has anyone tried to use their new cert to get a job, a raise or a promotion? Given the newsness of the cert and the seeming ease of the exam, I just wondered what i-net+'s worth in practical terms ...

| I've used the Network+ in an interview. I hadn't passed the i-Net+ at the time, but I doubt whether either will be worth much for a few years. it was the same way with the A+ when it first came out. Right now, I doubt if many people have even heard of it. | |

| I know of an isp in syracuse, ny that is looking for i-net+ certifieds for their helpdesk (however, they would prefer ccna's). They are paying in the low to mid 30k range. | |
|
| So, what's their address?

| It Seems to me that its an advantage to have
a certification that is not well known. Especially in an interview. (which would be the highlight of the interview) This knowledge is of additional value to the company. When you present and sale your services. your i-net + is an added value to the employer. (that you bring to the table)
Let say we have two people with the same certification and experince, but you have this i-net+ certification. Guess who stands a better chance.
