There's a question on this practice exam asking what best describes push techno. and the correct answer is when the client requests certain info. I thought that was pull tech. and push tech. was when info. is sent to you without your consent (ex.email)?

You probaboy misunderstood the correct answer.

The push technology is when the client defines what topics he want to receive from the server, and the server then delivers the content on a regular basis to the client without further client interaction.

Pull technology is when the client requests a file from the server, like when you click on a link to a specific URL to get the page you want.
