| Dear Guys,
Can anyone give me the accurate answer to this question?
How many Web-safe colours are available to design and create web graphics?
a) 216
b) 256
I shall be very much thankful to you.
Thanks and Bye!

| Did you read my other post about this?
It's definitely 216.
If you don't beleive me, get a book "designing web graphics.3" by Lynda Weinman. Page 124.

| Yes, the answer should be 216. According to Macromedia´s help files in DW3, however, there are really just 212 _truly_ websafe colors.
Those interested can get the trial v. od DW from the Macromedia site and check it of for themselves. (I believe it had something to do with explorer not displaying some of the colors correctly)
Anyway, for the exam,
"web safe palette" == 216 colors
BTW, anyone have any info on the "site designer" track of CIW? | |

| Dear Guys,
Thanks for your help and for clearing my concept. Actually, I was just confused because some people were saying 256 and some were saying 216.
Thanks and Bye!
Storm. |
