| Which of the following name resolution methods are dymanic?
DNS
LMHOSTS
HOSTS
WINS

| very good question. Up to now, the answer would have been that only WINS was dynamic. But with the advent of Win2K, and DDNS -- Dynamic DNS -- now DNS is to be added to the list.
Considering that this is a CompTIA question, I would say that the test answer is WINS only

| Thanks for the answer Freak. I guess I lucked out on the net+ test by not having to answer that one. I thought DNS was dynamic too.

I guess you never had to enter DNS records by hand then! Lucky you It can be pretty long when you have a bog UNIX or TCP/IP environment...
