starting out on the I-net+
|
|
|
| Only a couple more days and I should have my A+,Im thinking of the I-net+ to be my next goal. However I need a break from all the reading, studying and memorising.I dont want to look at examcram,I-net for dummys or any other i-net+ specific study guide for at least a couple of months.Im looking for any entertaning books or fun practical projects to ease me in to my next qualification?
all suggestions will be greatfully appreciated
cheers

| What are your motives for taking the I-net, if I may ask?

| I work in hardware support for a network with over 200 nodes.I should really do my NET+ first but the I-Net+ just looks a little bit more interesting to me .It seems a logical progression now that I almost have my A+(I write it friday). The I-Net+ looks like it might be interesting.I guess I just want to lift the lid off this internet thingy and have a little peek inside.

| I would still recommend that you take Net+ first... it is an even more logical progression.

| I would do N+ before I+. There is alot of carry-over of information from N+ to I+ and you get a better understanding of that information from studying for the N+ exam.

I did both Net+ and I-Net+ and thought that both were fun actually. You will also see that 30% of I-Net+ material is Net+ material, especially when it comes to network devices like routers, TCP/IP port unmbers, etc...
Thank you for visiting the site. I am happy that you enjoyed it

| You say you need a rest? Do you think you have what it takes? Considering your telling us that you already work in the field then surely you just have to blow the dust off your knowlege and concentrate on exam topics. This comes from a true Arsenal supporter and not a hooligan. | |

| Hi to all,
I am new to the scene and I have a quick question for you guys.
I have my MCSE + I right now and I am going to write iNet + very soon. Is it necessaey for me to go for Network + ?? Or should I go for Server + instead. BTY, I am planning to take the exams for MCSE2000 next year.
Any idea ? | |
|
| you will have no problem with Net+, so I would take it if I were you. Review for one night before the test and ace it the next day. May I suggest www.mcsefreak.com/netessguide.htm as a little review guide?
