| Ah, the age-old questions
1. If you only have 100 customers, how do you pay for a T1? 56K seems to be the only way to go from an financial stand point...
2. 24 bit
3. VBScript
4. login

| Well, the thing is that technically, I agree with you that a T1 is the way to go. I never liked this question, because what they give you is not enough to truly be 100% sure of what it is that they want to hear...

| Freak,
You make an excellent point. The question is vague when you consider the expense involved. However, I just have a gut feeling that if presented with this question, CompTia would score the correct answer as T1. Especially since I haven't seen I-Net study material mention T1 cost.
I'm writing my exam Friday and trying to get into the habit of guessing what CompTia wants to hear. For example, I found a reputable practice test which assured me a title tag is required in an HTML document. Technically, it's a very good practice, but it is by no means required. However, I am prepared to "unlearn what I have learned" for a couple days in order to score better on the test. I ran into this with my Microsoft exams as well. It is interesting how subjective these exams can be.

| I agree the T1/56K questions seems impossible to choose. I checked this one out quite a lot a while back and found that T1 lines are heavily discounted these days. Don't remember the cost, but it was down to just a few hundred bucks per month. If you charged $20 per month and had 100 customers, that would be $2000. Subtract maybe $500 for a T1 line and you could provide a decent service and have $1500 to cover other expenses. With a 56K line, you probably could not keep the customers.
I would definitely go with T1.
Regarding starting an FTP session:
I found the following web site and it says:
"When your session is closed, you can then open a new one. To do this, you may use the command:
open machine_name
or:
connect machine_name
Check your version of FTP for the proper command"
www.uic.edu/depts/accc/network/ftp/vftp.html#h1p02
"start" may be one of the choices, but that opens a DOS window and gives you an FTP prompt. At that point you still need to establish a session.
I would go with either "open" or"connect", based on which choices are given.
