| Hey freak. Great job on the site. I was wondering, how did you do that little animation at the start of each page, with the "MSCE FREAK" flying into the page. Is it done with Flash, or a bit of script ?
Also, just a website design question. When I want to make a website specially for 800*600 resolution, do I change my screen resolution to 800*600 and make my work fill my entire screen, or is there special software that can do it. I did a website recently with my screen at 1024*768, then when i accessed the website with another computer with a screen resolution of 800*600, the webite seemed to be huge and i had to scroll through my index.htm page with scrollbars !!
|
| Also, is it possable to make a banner from a macromedia flash animation ?? | |
|
| Actually, forget them questions. I just found out the answers, by experimenting !! | |
|
| i use DHTML for the flying effects...
As for the res, you can make a script that queries the res of the client machine accessing your site and redirect to the right html page... good luck

| Oh cool, never new that !!
(PS) I was able to find out how to do the effect of the flying banner, with FrontPage 2000, but my mate says that Netscape Browsers won't be able to do the animation. Is this true ?
|
| I don't know about netscape browsers. Anyody *still* uses those?

| LOL, I hear from my college that netscape is HUGE, but I never seen anybody use it !?!
I personally think it's much duller than IE
|
| After several years in professional web development, I've come to the conclusion that the only people using Netscape after 1997 have been:
a) Linux users who have grown tired waiting for IE ports and have an instinctive hating for MS in general anyway
and
b) Janet Reno

| LOL, so does anybody at all LIKE the netscape browser ?? | |

| I never used a mac in my life.. Am i missing anything !?! LOL
Why the bitter tone donald !!
|
| Back in 1984 when the Macintosh was released it used the "closed architecture" design, which gave it little scalability and also meant it was more expensive to upgrade because of its proprietary nature. The PC however used an open architecture and was more scalable for future upgrades. It was designed around industry standards and had a huge following nearly driving Apple out of business.
Personally, I favor the PC, and dislike the MAC.

When I was teaching at MIT, they gave me a MAC in my office. When I asked for a PC, they gave me a 286! Scary MIT humor I guess
But seriously now, the MAC is anawesome machine to do graphic design and musci recording with. Any other thing, I'll go for a PC. Also, from a networking piunt of view, note that they are easy to set up on the network, and that the wireless airport solution is truly awesome...

Hey man, there is not only iMac and iBook in the Mac world. I'm using PowerMacs and PCs and I'm a webmaster and I have my duty to make sure everything works fine on both platform.
I think any true tech would be great to have knowledges on various platform.
