I am really being overwhelmed. I am trying to study for my 220-302 tests having just passed 220-301. I can't seem to get a handle on the OS part. I have heard of these "Brain Dumps" and was wondering if there was anything to them. Are they good to use to study for the test? If they are, please, someone post some links for me to try. Like I said, I am having troubled making any of the 220-302 stuff make any sense to me. I have no background in computers what so ever. I have really hit a brick wall, and I need someone out there to please help me. I don't trust most of the products I see for sell, and I am not sure even of which ones I would need. I wouldn't mind having to spend some more money to get me on the right track. I just need some good advice to get me steered in the right direction. I have been using A+ Certification by Mike Meyers and A+ for Dummies, but the more I try to read and study the more confused I become. Help!!!!!

Drainbumps are the worst possible solution to your dilemma. First take a deep breath. You are getting a little too wound up over this. You've got the Myers book. Use it. Break it down into smaller bites so you can absorb it a little better. Don't look at the BIG picture just yet. Get a copy of the exam objectives from the CompTIA site. Start at the top and work your way down. Make sure you have a good understanding of each objective before you move on to the next.

Relax.

sounds like you need to install the operating systems and play with them then look up the answer on the operating systems.

http://www.vmware.com/download/ go there and download a 30 day demo you can install multiple operating systems for hours and not spend days waiting for ckhdsk etc

I will say that brain dumps are bad to use to study, but they are good pointers. I am sorry that I do not have any links but Google can find you some easily. Use the brain dumps only to find topics that you may have skipped. Do not use them to study! Once you find a topic I suggest looking it up more in depth online. This can be time consuming but it helped me. I can't speak for the Mike Meyers book but I would definitely suggest that you stick with it. Reading different books can easily confuse you so pick a book and stick with it. Best of luck!

Brain dumps just devalue your hard work ..
Some who has a better memory than you but no hands on gets a job. Then crashes out because they don't have a clue. Then you came along for that job , you have the same cert the other person had and will get judged by the same yard stick and get paid the same if not less. The goal is to learn skills, passing the exam should just be by-product.
braindumps have killed the value of many certs and pay scales.
Over the years I have seen what mess braindumps can make and the only change they made was more people certified todo less work..
