| One question for the great people
A brand new PC P4 2.26, 256 PC 3200 DDRAM, Mainboard M955G VIA chip
When I tried to add another 256 3200 DDRRAM, the computer start, but no thing appeared in the monitor, means, no bois POST!!!
The computer works fine with only one RAM model.
What could be the problem please?

| Incompatible ram or you might need to flash your BIOS. Also, try booting with the new module and see what happens. | |

| As stated it may be incompatible, kingston is real picky about what it will work with for example. Try switching sockets and try 1 stick at a time. Bios shouldn't be a problem a P4 board can handle almost a terabite I think.
Now if your not getting the bios beep then its probably a memory problem but if ya get the beep and then the black screen it will probably be a video card issue.

| also write down which slot the good ram worked in and tape the info to the PC . its amazing how a good nights sleep helps you forget little details..
Of course you made sure it was seated properly didnt you ??
