| Hey everybody,
I think that i will be making my A+ Os exam next week. Does anybody have any suggestions for me or any study advice. Recently i passed my A+ core. For my Os I use preplogic (220-302). Can anybody tell me if that is a good practice exam. And if anybody can find me free crams for the os i would appreciate it.
Thanx in advance
Thanx for your patience & suggestions are very welcome

Installing, Configuring, and Upgrading to/from Windows 9x
Installing, Configuring, and Upgrading to/from Windows 2000
Diagnosing and Troubleshooting Windows 9x and 2000
Knowledge of Window NT
Networking
This exam also covers any questions on installing, configuring, and upgrading your system hardware as well. So, it is recommended that you take the A+ Core Hardware Exam FIRST, before attempting this exam. (For example, what is the process for installing a PC Card in your system?)
Don’t think that Windows NT isn’t a factor in this exam just because it is barely mentioned in the Exam Objectives. Many questions require knowledge of NT’s legacy, and many questions apply to both NT and 2000. I suggest having at least some knowledge of upgrading to/from NT, the features/differences of NT, and the NT File system, NTFS.
This exam is the tougher of the two A+ exams. It requires specific knowledge of where to find things, how to do particular tasks, what system tools do, multiple ways to achieve the same results (usually 3 ways of doing things in Windows).
You also need to know the similarities and differences between each of the Windows OSes. Each question on the exam tells you exactly how many responses you need to provide, and won’t let you select more than needed (i.e., no “check all that apply.”).
Most of this exam is on Diagnosing and Troubleshooting. So, make sure you know what to do if you get a particular error or have a certain situation where you need to know what to do next. Know common errors and problems with Windows and users.
And don’t forget about viruses either: any problem/error can be the result of a virus. | |

| I just took it today and passed (Thank God). I sort of underestimated it because I've been getting real good score from SelfTest.KaplanIT.com.
I'm not gonna give away the exam here but make sure you remember commands AND their switches. How to find tools and File Systems like SuperTech said.
The networking questions are not even worth asking. |
