Internet Explorer close by itself for certain sites

| Hello, everyone:
I dont know why my internet explorer closede by itself automatically such as when I tried to go into this examnotes.net website but when I use netscape brower, it works fine.
when I tried to go to cisco site to take an exam, it closed on me automatically.
but it works for netscape brower.
Why???????
I still can function but I have a lot of sites bookmarks in internet explorer.
I ran the adaware and spotcheck to see it may be the spyware isssue but still not working right in internet explorer.
Please let me know why.

| It is window 98 second edition.
This is the first time it happens.
Then I also has netscape in my computer when I click netscape to open examnotes.net, it worked fine.
I was thinking reloading the internet explorer.

| i would try a repair from control panel/add remove programs, then select IE then repair, if that doesn't work have you tried a reg restore?
reboot in dos(tap f8 key during bootup then select cmd prompt only)
then type in scanreg /restore
and select a date BEFORE you started having the problem.

| Reloading Internet Explorer will only mess up your pc even more and you stand to lose your bookmarks.
Sounds like a virus infection to me.
Viruses attach themselves to operating system files.
Guess what?
Microsoft's Internet Explorer's are attached to operating system files so using external browsers on one's pc's reduces these risks.
The one I use is this one . It has the same interface as Internet explorer but more features, the best of which is the ability to open multiple windows within the same one frame.
My private website, which is not a professional www dot one (yet) has plenty of security tips. I can e-mail you the details if you are interested but most important of all, scan your pc.
I dislike the popular Norton's and Macafee brands completely. Tried and tested them and have even heard of criticsms from others. |
