GLOBAL GROUP HEADACE.....
|
|
|
| Okay here is my latest question....
lets see if I got this figured out....
Two domains. I create a trust realasonship.
Then create a local group in the trusting domain.
In the trusted domain, I create a another local group and give certain users access to a Global group setup so they can enter the trusting domains local group.....
I am trying learn some of the basics here so I can pass the exam for a change.....
anybody got any tips, I would appriciate any feedback.....
Gonna go take to Advil now.....
thanks....

| AGLP or UGLP however you want to remember it.
User Accounts go into Global Groups which then get placed into Local Groups that then have Permissions to resources assigned to them.
Trusting domain is the domain that has the resource(s), so we'd create a Local group in this domain and assign permissions to the resource(s) for this Local group.
Now in the Trusted domain, create a Global group and place User Accounts in this Global group.
Finally, because you have a Trust established, you can make the Global group you created in the Trusted domain a member of the Local group you created in the Trusting domain and they will be able to access all resources that this particular Local group has access to.
Make Sense?
Remember you can't make a Local group a member of another Local group.
Hope this Helps!!

Its starting to make sense........
I think on the last two exams I took and failed, I did not have a clear understanding on the group concepts concepts.
I will keep working on it........
