Author WINS push/pull partners

2001-01-03, 1:56 am

Everyone is reporting that the exams have questions about WINS push and pull partners. I got a Transcender question about it, and there are some in the dumps. However, the New Riders study guide has very little about it and the Exam Cram has only a very brief explanation of an exam answer. Where can I find info about WINS push and pull partners, such as the advantages to using them, how they are configured, and when to use which? Does anybody know?

Excellent question guy. I've been having the same problem. I am using both Trancenders and exam cram as well and I am finding that there are a lot of questions in the the transcenders that the exam cram didn't come close to covering. I think I'm going to stop using them after this exam. Has anyone Used EXAM PREP? How do they stack up? I just can't read a book that is 5 inches thick for each exam. I'd never finish.

I also wrote to Exam Cram for information. It turns out that the info is in their TCP/IP material. I should have thought of that. They gave me an explanation of what the terms mean and a webpage with a diagram:

Most publishers aren't so responsive.

And, Zen,, you need to both practice with the software and study from a 5" book in order to really understand what you're doing. You'd finish. I recommend using the thick book, taking notes by hand, then typing the notes into a word processing file. Then take the Transcenders and other practice exams. You can use brain dumps to get a good idea of the questions asked and the reasoning for people's answers, but don't try to memorize the answers - theree's a lot of misonformation in them.
