Author Passed. But I don't feel good about it!

I've been attending Xintra School and took the MCSE course twice. The site http://www.examnotes.net has been very helpful for studynotes. My home system of a NT member server, NT workstation, 3 Windows 98, and a Linuxserver. Plus CIC Prep exams albiet haistily completed. All got me the passing grade. But that AWfull adaptive testformat distroyed my confidence with a loisy 622! I mean thisdifficulty until you get one wrong is absolutely demoralizing.

I should be happy I passed. But I've seen and heard from alot who put their all into it and pull off a 900 or better(relatively rare on this exam) Me I'm going for an MCSE as fast as humanly posible an exam a week is the pace. After this 622 passing grade though I'm going to skip a week before the TCP/IP elective and do some moreintensive study.

Stop kicking yourself. As we used to say in the Air Force, "If the minimum wasn't good enough it wouldn't be the minimum." Only you and Microsoft know your score. Your official transcript won't show it.

Congrats on your pass. I know your feeling, I get upset when I put so much into preparing for a test and then walk away with a small score, but it is a pass. So feel good about it and press on. How did that song go "don't worry be happy". End of pep talk, now get back to work.

Aim High!

Hi Macaries,

Congratulations to you, whatever you may think of your score...I am due to take this exam in less than a week and get very paranoid when I see experiences like yours...I have been really hitting it here, but feel like so much on this one is jumbled up...The questions are so verbose and complex that just doing the practice tests alone is very tiring!!! Well, I guess that I will forge on, but I am having serious doubts about my test date....Anybody actually know roughly how many you can goof up on and still pass? I realize the scoring is non standard due to adaptive, but it would be nice to have an idea...

Well, pat yourself on the back anyway..you passed and can relax this weekend...I will be sweating it out...Take care..

Thanks Freddy Flyer and Sunmac. I'm feeling much better about the passing grade today your congratulations are appreciated.

Sunmac you're doing the right thing to pass. The practice exams are as tiring as the test. But I found some of the questions on the exam looked very much like the practice test here on examnotes.net

Goodluck to you.

Hey there Macaries.....First off, let me congradulate you on passing your exam. It's great you passed and gives others like me, lot's of encouragement.

Second, don't feel bad about the exam score, passing is passing and studying hard to pass this exam may not have shown on your score but it will be there when your out in the field and that's where your studies will count! Think of this as just another test down, and now move on to studying for the next exam. What's next for you?

Don't sweat the score... only you and who you tell know the score. A pass is a pass is a pass. Just raise the bar on your next test. I'm not telling my scores,I'm just studying harder for the next one. And from what I read...enterprise will be a bear.

Time is running out SunMak ... Hope your ready for the test tomorrow. Here's one question that I remember getting stuck on:

You have a Netware server and you transfer some files and user and group accounts from it to a NT server. You want all the Mac and Intel workstations to now access the NT Server for the files Where they used to access the Netware server What do you do?
a)Install a MS redirector on each client
b)Install CSNW on each client
c)Install FTP Server on NT Server
d)Install GSNW on NT Server

Hi there Macaries,

Thank you so much for reminding me about my impending doom!!! Well, I can close to picking up the phone and chickening out, but I didn't. So, I guess that it is too late unless I want to loose the $$$...

I can't tell you just how nervous I am!!
Especially with the ambiguous trust scenarios and ras scenarios etc..that I am sure I will see...

Thanks for the sample question...I do believe that the answer to that one should be to choose, MS redirector on each client, since they do not provide you with a Server side solution such as (File and Print Services for Netware). If I am right, I hope that I get that one, at least that's one i will get right maybe!!

Anyway, just taking a quick break here before hitting it again for a while anyhow.. Did you find the scenarios tortuous? Thanks for the tip and feel free to send me any others(ha ha) Catch you in a bit...
