The directory service architecture of the trust relationship and placement of domain controllers for the Windows NT server network as shown in exhibit.

Seattle Dallas New York
Required Results:
R1 - Network lines may not be saturated with logon validations
R2 - Users from Caracas and Paris domains must access resources on Chicago domain.
R3 - Users from Chicago must access resources on Seattle, Dallas & New York.
Optional Results:
O1 - Centralized user management.
O2 - Administrators on resource domains must be able to manage access to their own resources but not those of the other cities.

Proposed Solution:
Use the single master domain model
Place user accounts in the Chicago domain.
Configure all other locations as resource domains.
Configure Chicago as a trusted domain and all other cities as the trusting domains.
Place the PDC and the BDC for Chicago domain in Chicago and place at least 1 BDC for the Chicago in each other cities.

This question has been asked many times before....

This is a single master domain model.
By definition, ALL user accounts are located in the Chicago Domain and are members of the Chicago/Domain Users Global group.
Therefore, users logging in from any of the resource domains would also have access to any resources in the Chicago domain that Chicago/Domain Users Global group has access to. Pass-through authentication in action

This is what a single master domain model is all about. Don't get hung up on two-way trusts between Chicago and the resource domains being necessary for users to access resources in Chicago, they are not needed. (in this scenario).

Answer would be "A" I believe.

Hope this helps!!
