The dreaded #96 - URGENT HELP PLEASE
|
|
|
| Using the Single Master Domain model, how can users from Caracas and Paris access Resources in Chicago?
Meets Optional (yes)
Proposed:
1. Single Master
2. Place user accts in Chicago (is this why b/c they log into Chicago and therefore can access resources anywhere??)
3. Configure Locations as resource domains
4. PLace PDC/BDC in Chicago and other cities

| This question as been asked several times before. As this is a single master and the question states the user accounts
are in the Chigago domain therefore the users
from Caracas and Paris will have accounts in this Domain which mean they can use the local resources. Beware there are a few similar questions but fail to state where the users are.

| This is a single master domain model.
By definition, ALL user accounts are located in the Chicago Domain and are members of the Chicago/Domain Users Global group.
Therefore, users logging in from any of the resource domains would also have access to any resources in the Chicago domain that Chicago/Domain Users Global group has access to. Pass-through authentication in action
This is what a single master domain model is all about. Don't get hung up on two-way trusts between Chicago and the resource domains being necessary for users to access resources in Chicago, they are not needed. (in this scenario).
Hope this helps.
