| Hi Guys,
Thanks for getting back to my last question about the sap angent. Much appreciated.
I am kind of stuck though, as a have read Masood, Ian, and Favo and between them they are providing different answers to the same question. I have taken this exam twice already and i have now studied the dumps for the next go. Could you please help with the following questins..
1. Does the full version of Network Monitor allow you to capture packets from a different subnet, or must you run it from a computer in the same subnet.
2. The sentence "maintain the same level of name resolution, while minimizing replication traffic. Does this mean only setting up push partners. Would wins work with just Pull partners.
3.When a resource domain trys to log on to a master domain. does the user get Domain/user or Domain/guest persmissions.
4. the question about using ras and having to encrypt the database server. Can you do such a thing as to Configure the server that contains the database to require encryption or do you just set it at the Ras server.
Hope this is not too much..thanks people. | |

| Heya Y2kRex
Well here goes :
Network Monitor can capture traffic on another subnet by connecting to a system that is running the Remote Agent software on that subnet. The Network Monitor Agent software is included with both Windows NT Workstation and Windows NT Server. In Network Monitor, when you click Networks on the Capture menu, Remote is one of the options. Provide the Agent's computer name (with or without "\\") to connect to it.
Hope this helps with your answer to the first question. For more infor on this read Q124837 on microsoft website list of articles.

| Heya for a better answer to your question read: http://www.microsoft.com/TechNet/wi...ps/net405ef.asp
It does say that the network monitor agent in sms 2.0 can be used to capture network traffic from a remote subnet to network admin. The client computer running NMA captures and buffers betwork traffic locally. When the network monitor application attempts to display the traffic info is sent by NMA it is sent over network for display and analysis
Hope this is a great help. Do read the above article for a more thorough understanding...
