On the Masood notes I came across a question that doesn't seem correct. Would someone please clairfy for me,

Tracy logs on to Corporate Domain from a NT workstation in the Marketing domain. The Marketing Domain trusts the Corp Domain. Which resource can she access?
1) Resources in the Mark. Dom. to which users in the Mark. Dom have access.
2) Resources in the Corp. Dom. to which users in the Corp. Dom have access.
3)Resources in the Corp. Dom. to which Guests in the Corp. Dom have access.
4)Resources in the Corp. Dom. to which guests in the Mark. Dom have access.

The answer given is 3 (She is logging on from a workstation.)

My answer is 2. Workstation? What does that have to do with anything. If Mark trust Corp then the account is in the Corp. Meaning that she should have access to resources to which users in the Corp have access. Right?

I believe that answer 3 is indeed correct.

I believe 3 is correct as well.

The question does not state that they are using a single master domain model. In this case I would assume that Tracy is a domain user in the Marketing domain. If she logs onto another domain besides the Marketing domain, she must be using the Guest account of that domain and will have access to all resources which the Corporate\Domain Guests global group is allowed to access.

If they are using a single master domain model, then yes, choice 2 would be the correct answer because Tracy's user account will automatically be a memeber of the Corporate\Domain Users global group.

Hope this helps.

Spid you said that you would assume that Tracy is a Mktg domain user well I assumed that she is a Corp domain user which would make the correct answer B. That scenario does not provide enough info to come up with a rational answer. Usually the questions tell you if its a single domain.
My two cents.
Remember what happens when you assume

Agreed Beboy. A tad bit more info is needed. Which is why I stated explanations for both possible answers.

Take Care.
