is it worth doing the nt4 track, ?

| I would def say yes, but you have to be quick.
You need to pass all exmas by Dec 31 2000.
The bonus is this....
If you pass 70-067,068,073, you get a chance to take 70-240 Accelerated Win2k upgrade exam.
Plus it will be a while before most organisations rollout Win2k. NT 4.0 will be around for a while yet <years prob>
Thats my ideas anyway!

| thanks for that,,
ive done ws, doing server very soon, then will concentrate on server enterprise for almost a month,
then will concentrate on win2k for the whole year aswell as ccna..
anyways, having both nt4 and 2000 would be advantageous

| You're welcome!
I've passed Wkstn, Server & Enterprise, and am sitting TCP/IP in 3 weeks!
So long as you pass the 3 specific NT core exams by Dec 31st, you'll be able to relax a little!
Anyway good luck with everything!

| Keep going...two left for MCSE NT 4.0. Which is good until Dec 2001. This will give plenty of time to upgrade to Win2k. You trade in Server, Enterprise, and Workstation for 70-240 Accelerated Win 2000. Then you only need one of the Design exams 70-219/220/221, and two electives (Exchange etc..) Dont let your NT 4.0 exmas go to waste..

| chase, what do u mean dont let ur nt4 go to waste..?
do u mean by not doing the upgrde examn.
my whole point basically is, im gonna finish off server enterprise, and server this week..
then just fully concentrateon win2k upgrsde..
that way u have both nt4 and nt5 tracks..

| What I was saying was to kata_dalast_kappa,
who didnt seem sure whether to finish off MCSE in NT4.0 or to go just for Win2k. If you get this far and not finish; it would be like swimming the Atlantic, getting a mile from shore and then turning back! | |
|
| Getting a firm background in NT 4.0 will make it that much easier to pick up Win2k.
A lot of companies will not upgrade to win2k anytime soon so the nt 4.0 MCSE will still be relevant. I am trying to crank out these last 3 certs before December
Whew!!!
