A substitute for MCSE!!!
|
|
|
| Ok maybe I am reading this wrong and maybe not. If I am not then I am glad someone is picking up where I think Microsoft is dropping the ball. Check out this link. http://www.swynk.com/friends/bergen/news/news_ntcip.asp
It is supposed to be a certification that will be the equivalent of the MCSE. I hope this is for real and I hope that it is recognized in the real world as the same. Any comments would be appreciated. | |

| PCgeekboy,
I read the message and checked out the NTCIP.
What do you think? Are NTCIP going to be accept in I.T world! So, I think it is still only a proposal, right!!!!
I don't hear anything about this from other major discussion group.

| Kasor,
I read it again and again and it sounds like this is definitely going into effect. But that is the reason I had posted it here in hopes that maybe someone else had heard something. Everyone I have talked to that works in the industry has not heard about it yet. I guess only time will tell. I sure hope it is accurate though.

| PCgeekboy,
If NTCIP is ready to go, shall people take it before the end of this year. What do you think? Few of my friend is interesting after I told them. They asked me for advise.
So, any good advise! Are you MCSE, too?

| Kasor,
They are saying that the actual certificatin will not take effect until Microsoft retires MCSE. Then if you have your MCSE they will transfer that certification over for you (for a small fee of course). If you do not have it yet then you can begin testing under their guidelines. So if MCSE retires Dec 31 like they are saying, that means Jan 1 you will be able to start testing for NTCIP. It all sounds almost too good to be true doesn't it? As for your other question, I am not an MCSE yet but I WILL be before the end of the year. So far all I have is A+, N+ and I just took the Networking Essentials exam a week ago and scored a 966. I really attribute that score to taking the Network+. At any rate that is why I am in this forum now. I am planning to take Server in 2-3 weeks. I am seriously considering sitting for Workstation that same day. I haven't fully decided on that yet.
