| Does anyone have an answer to this question.
What happens if I can't complete all the test by the end of the year?
Will I have to retake all the exam again to be MCSE, for the 2000 track?
Or Can I mix and pass half of the NT 4.0 track and half of the NT 2000 track to be MCSE?
Thanks

| Hi mindbender- Follow this link to the requirements for the Win2K track http://www.measureup.com/site/Displ...n=4&tab=1&set=2 . I have been looking around tonight at the same thing. In order to take the Accelerated exam you need 70-067,068,073. Then you will need 1 more core exam and two electives(current electives that don't retire will still count). From what I have heard the new tests are a bear, wordy, vague and long. | |

| Thanks for the info, but what happen if I passed 70-59 (TCP/IP) and 70-58 (Networking Essentials)also.
Does these exams counts toward anything??? | |

| mindbender- Unfortunately both of those are going to be retired. I am trying to look at this as a positive. The ones who are just taking the Win2K MCSE will not have the knowledge of NT4 which is what most companies are using right now. Most companies are not going to just switch to a new OS just because there is a new one out there. Its the old "if it ain't broke don't fix it" addage. From what I have been reading from various websites, most of the info we are learning for NT4 will carry over to the new exams. There are some differences, but if you don't know TCP/IP for example you might as well enroll for the WIN2K classes and start over. The 70-058 exam is being retired because they are assuming anyone that is going to get thier MCSE had better know the basics of networking. |
