| 147. Windows NT Server 3.51 is installed on your computer. You want to upgrade to Windows NT Server 4.0, and you want to preserve your existing configuration settings.
How can you perform the upgrade? (Choose all that apply.)
A. Boot from the Windows NT 4.0 Setup boot disk. Install the Windows NT 4.0 files in the directory that contains your Windows NT 3.51 flies.
B. Boot from the Windows NT 4.0 Setup boot disk. Install the Windows NT 4.0 files in a new \Winnt40 directory.
C. Start Windows NT 3.5 1. Run Winnt32.exe from the Windows NT command prompt. Install the Windows NT 4.0 files in the directory that contains your Windows NT 3.51 files.
D. Start Windows NT 3.5 1. Run Winnt.exe from the Windows NT command prompt. Install the Windows NT 4.0 files in the directory that contains your Windows NT 3.51 files.
Answer: C
ive also seen the answer as A...any help???? | |

| Hello again...
This seems to be an ambiguous question. 'C' is definately correct, of that there is no doubt. As I have never upgraded a 3.5 server to NT 4.0 I cannot be 110% positive, but I would suggest that the option specified in 'A' would also produce the required result. In fact I cannot think of a reason why it would not.
I would be interested in hearing about other peoples opinions or experiences on this matter.
Sorry to not be of much help. I would go for both A & C though.

| Hey guys
They asked for "ALL THAT APPLY"...
So if I had my choice I'd go with C (my personal choice Winnt32.exe), and A will also work, so I go with what johnno said. I would just not have done it that way, because why boot with setup disks, if you have NT 3.51 on your PC?
OK, thats my opinion.

| A and C are the exact same installation. Only A is using bootdisk and C is using the existing operating system. I would choose both........ | |
|
| Answers A and C are definitely correct. I have confirmed this myself :-)
