Author Question about exam format...

2000-04-25, 1:59 pm

I've been wondering... I've heard people talking about the MCSE exams, and some say that their tests were adaptive and others say theirs was not. Which tests are adaptive? Thanks in advance.

I know server, workstation and net essentials are 30 q's and enterprise is adaptive still.
Not sure about electives.

As for the core, the only one that was adaptive was Enterprise. As far as electives go, I've only taken IIS and TCP/IP and neither one was adaptive.

I took the Proxy Server 2.0 exam April 12. It was 68 questions and non-adaptive.
I plan to take the Exchange Server 5.5 exam next month. It is supposed to be 30 questions, non-adaptive.
The Server in Enterprise exam was adaptive and tough. The secret is be prepared, study, use practice tests, braindumps and study guides. These exams are passable if your prepared.

A work collegue of mine took the Server exam yesterday and informed me that it had changed from standard 30 questions to 35 questions, of which a random 5 of them are not marked. This was also true for the Workstation exam I took.
