Clarification on a question
|
|
|
| I am not sure of the answer to the question below, given the list of answers. DES is a standard, MD5 encrypts passwords of remote NT & unix clients. PAP stands for Password Authentication Protocol, I think, but I am not sure what it does. And the last is bogus.
30.)You are configuring a RAS server to allow remote connections to your financial data applications. You want to make sure that you use the HIGHEST level of DATA ENCRYPTION. Select the best option.
a) DES
b) RSA-MD5
c) PAP
d) SPAP

| PAP is the most lax of the options and does not provide the security the are asking for;
Require encrypted authentication option enables the CHAP authentication protocol(Challenge handshake authentication protocol). CHAP then implements the RSA Data Security MD-5 algorithm over PPP and requires data encryption.
I hope this helps! |
