Hey guys just like to say wassup! I am going to try and take my first NT exam by next week. Workstation first then just try and knock out the rest before the end of the year.

Overall this is a great place for information. Thanks

This is my opinion, but if you are going for your MCSE, pursue the Windows 2000 track. Don't put any added pressure trying to finish by the end of the year deadline.

Yes a lot of companies are still using NT 4.0 and probably will be for the next year (or two), but I believe the Windows 2000 track will be a better selling point to recruiters and think about the companies who will eventually start migrating from NT to 2000.

Plus, you don't have to worry about getting recertified.

Good Luck:-)

I agree with Digital Bobby. I was going to get NT4.0 MCSE but I found out that it is waste of money to pay for all those tests. Go for 2000 track. My plan is to get Workstation, server and server in enterprise. this will allow me to take only one test for 2000

Thats my opinion..

Catch ya later

Thanks guys! You make very valid points. I originally was slated to do just that. Get the Core 4.0 and then bust my way *** off with the upgrade or just go the whole route entirely. But seeing I have a lot of things on my side I figure I just do it to do it. One, I have alot of time. I work third shift maintaining site/hadware integrity on basically an all out NT 4.0 structure and really all I do is SURF. Two, I am getting reimbursed for all test I take. Three, I have my at home lab set up not to mention all the hands on at work I get to actually make these test a breeze to walk through.

Not saying it is easy as I am putting in the four hrs a day to read up and then take time out to actually apply the stuff I learn. I just see it this way, if I have three down (which should be no problem in the month and a half,) why not knock out the rest while I am at it.
