Author Passed Workstation!

2000-07-18, 7:08 pm

Pass Workstation today with lots of room to breath. It was 35 questions, 75 minutes. Exam Essentials is the way to go, all my questions were in Exam Essentials in one form or another. Many were word-for-word. Also, used Transcender, Troy Tech and Exam Cram. It was an old copy (1997) of Transcender that a friend loaned me and amazing many of the questions were the same as in Exam Essentials. The question in Exam Cram were close to the real test also.

Three down and three to go for MCSE.

Freddy,

Way to go. Looks like you leapfroged me. I took TCPIP and Net Essentials and am working on Workstation. Want to test next week.

Great work. Server next????

Bobcat,

Good to hear from you again. I only need Enterprise to finish up the core and then on to the electives. I have been going about this in the order that Microsoft recommends, but many on this site recommend against. Started with Net Essentials, then Server, followed by Work Station and finally Enterprise. So far my best score was for Net Essentials, but I attribute that to my studying for Network+. I have been more a hardware type anyway. I was going to do TCP/IP, but since it is retiring I would rather spend my time on an elective that I won't need to be repeating next year. Since I am paying for this myself, cost is a factor. I am thinking about taking IEAK 5 and Proxy server.

Freddy,

I am lucky, as I said before my company wants certified people, so they will pay for anything.

I am attending classroom training for the prep, so life is a bit easier. I took IIS as my first class, then Intro, then TCPIP then Core with Enterprise comming up next month. TCPIP was my first Microsoft test (get MCP fot this one) then Net Essentials. Took those also because of the A+, Net+, and iNet+ I have already passed. Workstation is next, then Server, then Enterprise. While doing this the Co. sent me to a couple of VB6 classes, and is arranging for the 2000 upgrade. Nice to work for a company that dosen't mind spending $$.

Will send you email concerning the tests that I was having a problem with. If you could help I would be greatly appreciative.
