| graham, if you're speaking of an Emergency Repair Disk you can create one from Repair Disk. If you have trouble locating Repair Disk <which I believe is in system tools, but can't verify on my Workstation because the admin has removed all System Tools> go to Start Menu - Help - click the index tab and search for ERD | |

| I believe you need the cdrom then go to start run and type winnt.exe /ox this should prompt you to put in disk 3,2,1 then your done! | |

| i forgot to tell you ance you insert the cdrom goto start run type X:\i386\winnt.exe /ox where X=the name of your cdrom drive.

| I think what you are asking is not the SETUP disks or the ERD but a plain boot disk. Format a blank disk(not NTFS) and copy the following files:
NTLDR
NTDETECT.COM
BOOT.INI
BOOTSECT.DOS
NTBOOTDD.SYS-for BIOS disabled SCSI controllers.

| Yes, to make your boot disk format a flopy in NT and then copy
NTLDR
NTDETECT.COM
BOOT.INI
BOOTSECT.DOS
NTBOOTDD.SYS
remenber boot.ini will have to be modified if you are going to use the boot disk in another compueter, also be aware that bootsect.dos only will appear if you have another OS on the computer and this file will work only for that particular computer.

Actually it is part of workstation trouble shooting test content. I think you can get the answer by reading through the trouble shooting section of any workstation exam preparation book.
