What's the difference? and which is "correct?"

| It's the typical question: You have 4 16 bit windows applications running on NTWS and one of them crashes which brings all of them down. How should you correct this?
a) Run the one application in its own memory space and the three integrated applications in the default memory space.
b) Run the three integrated applications in the default memory space and all other applications in their own separate memory space.
I keep seeing answer b listed on study guides, and in reality both are correct, but I know the wording has something to do with it or they wouldn't both be choices. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Eddie

| I believe the answer is B.
The three integrated applications need a shared memory space, they must all be run in the same NTVDM.
The default NTVDM is the only NTVDM that supports the execution of multiple 16-bit applications.
You could make an argument for A, but answer B is a more complete answer (well, to me anyway), because all other 16-bit apps should be run in their own seperate memory space. Answer A only talks about the one application. Ya, it's a wording thing
Thanks

| I see it, but I guess I was getting hung up on that the question only mentions 4 applications. But in reality, if one is the bad one, and you wanted to run a 5th application, you wouldn't HAVE to run 3 of them together and two individually...couldn't you still run the one separate and then 4 in the same, etc.??
I'm overthinking it, I know...and I already passed, but I think it's a good example of the word game played!
Thanks for your input.
