Oracle - Online Logs issue

| Today our production database shutdown due to an "Online logs need to be archived" error. I assume this is referring to the online redo log files. We currently have three online redo log files for our database. All store about 512M of information and is archived on a daily basis. We added an additional schema to the database last week. Do any of you have a take on this issue? I know the details are vague. I just need to know if this is an online redo log problem, or archiving or what. thanks, | |

| hey psugak, you knucklehead, its cause you did not set the initialization parameter (archive long mode = true). As well as the other applicable archive parameters. Think MCFLY think! |
