Does a cell phone use the same technology as a PC, laptop, wireless etc? ? If so where can I fine the answer.

Some cell phones use bluetooth but other than that, no would be the answer. Bluetooth is only used to put stuff from a pc onto the cell phone.

For example, HDs, I know they have RAM (SIMM) in them. The wireless technology that is used. Is it closed or the same?

Sure, the really basic components are the same...IC's, CAPS, flip flops (which make up the ram and processors), silicone...but they are definately wired different.

For example my cell phone and PDA both use the same principles as a computer to process data, such as a timing clock, a primitive form of cache, RAM, ect. Sure, they both have a CPU. But at the same time they are completely different structures. They dont use even close to the same programming, wireing or instruction sets. It's all proprietary.

I have never heard of a cell phone using a rotating HD...but then again many MP3 players do. Does that mean the IPOD uses the same technology as a computer does? Similiar, but different.

If your talking connectivity...then a cell phone can speak the same language to talk to a computer, like 802.11, bluetooth or such.
