Author Showing hidden network connections

Recently I changed out some NICs and the PCI position of an existing one. After I was back up and running, I am now left with local area connections 3 & 4, but it says 1 & 2 still exist but are hidden. I changed file attributes to show hidden files and folders, but it had no effect on showing the hidden network connections. I just want to access them so I can delete them, as I figured the unused hidden ones may be giving me unnecessary overhead on the lan. Also, due to these hidden ones still existing, I cannot use the ip addresses assigned to them for the new connections.
I am running XP pro.

Thanks
