| Normally DEL gets you into the BIOS, or maybe F2. | |

| Here's what Mr Acer says:
http://www.acersupport.com/desktop/...os_dp10341.html
"You can access the BIOS Setup Utility by pressing CTRL+ALT+ESC as the system is booting. At the bottom of the second start up screen you should see "To enter setup, press CTRL_ALT_ESC".
Note: If the system displays the Acer Splash Screen, once you hear the beep, you should begin pressing CTRL+ALT+ESC. You may need to press CTRL+ALT+ESC continuously until you access the BIOS setup screen.
|
| Plz get me right.... it shows me that its entering setup after pressing ctrl + alt + esc for some minuts and boot from drive C. | |

| Try different keys; okay, I know it says use Ctrl+Alt+Esc, but try the F10, try F8,try F1, try F2. try everything that you've ever heard of to enter setup. | |

| try unplugging the hard disk drive.
if that doesn't do it, switch off pc and try removing the battery for a few minutes to clear the cmos, this should clear the config and then try again.
good luck. | |

| Check my weird problem problem thread, it may be a dead/dieing cmos battery. Or you may want to contact and expert computer technican . | |
|
| acruth7284/kea235, i tried you skills. i removed the battery, i also tryd to change with a diffent one but N'thing seem to be solved. As for the H'Drive i've got my old seagate with win 98 on form another pc and it seems to be working fin. But when i try other drives it tell me OS missing, can not found NTLDR. that kind of a thing.
Plz more clows | |

| NTLDR not found means it had an NT based OS (NT,W2K,XP) on it.
If you have another PC with Win 2K or XP on it, try making a boot disk (assuming of course you have a floppy drive)

| I have a friend who had a dog. It lived for 14 great years, and my friend loved his dog. But when it died, he buried it and went on with his life.
Moral of the story: Let old dying things die. Don't try to revive something that's lived its useful life.
