| Everybody agress that SPAM is the scurge of the Internet. I am fairly careful about giving out any valid email address.
When it came to Examnotes, I noticed that their membership was huge. This usually indicates a well run site.
But here is the problem: I don't mind getting offers to save money. Recently, Examnotes has invited me to buy Comptia vouchers, WHICH I DID! In fact, I wrote in asking why I couldn't get Server+ vouchers, with the answer that they weren't popular enough for international buyers. Fair enough.
A few days later, the same offer. And then again. OK - If I didn't take it up the first time, what makes you think I will a few days later? Or a few days after that? What has changed? Certainly not the wording or the extra long message that makes one simple point "Press this link and buy cheap exam vouchers"
Same is true with the 3 messages all selling me the return of the once in a lifetime price on PDFs from actualtests.com. Seems Once in a lifetime offers only come about two or three times every few months....
And what's with all the padding to sell your story about how good cheap vouchers are and how much it will save me? "Press this link to save on Comptia vouchers". OK - I did. The other 5 minutes reading that same message in the same email as it BASICALLY READS THE SAME ALL THE WAY TO THE BOTTOM I can do without. In case my attention deficit disorder kicked in, you conveniently placed the same link to buy vouchers every few paragraphs, just in case I got bored with reading the really long and stupid email. Stupid - because it assumes the reader is stupid and doesn't understand. We ALL get it. Cheap vouchers. How hard can it be? To the left of where I am typing it says "CompTIA Exam vouchers (Linked to website) Save money on CompTIA exams" Why didn't you just send me that in my email?
Why not treat it like a 15 second radio spot - say what you want to say, then move on. Although my long winded gripe in this forum might be amusing for some, I dare say it has a serious side and most will realise that I could have said it in under 15 seconds reading time. Somehow I feel compelled to type dribble to get my point across...
So then I write to "Contact us" at Examnotes to try and have my gripe PRIVATELY away from the public forums. Guess what? My email to webmaster@examnotes .net and to .com both bounce back with a server message that essentially translates to "Webmaster does not want to receive any recipient email".
For crying out loud. Why do you advertise that email address to frustrated people - to frustrate them some more?
Please - cut down on your broadcasts so I won't have to unsubscribe and possibly miss out on something good. Then we both lose.
Advertise a contact address that actually works. Otherwise - say what you mean so we can at least have a laugh. "Send an email to webmaster@thissite and I guarantee it will bounce back everytime 'cause I just don't want the hassles of dealing with your bitchin'. OK???"
Seriously you guys. I wanna kick you in the nuts.

| why are u using your real email address? any free site will generate loads of spam, so why not just create an extra one at one of the free email providers like I did? then you can just use it to sign up for message boards and the like but wont have to actually use it. | |

| Hey there.
You may have missed my point, Papiya. I don't mind getting email offers, if they are good ones. And these have been pretty good.
I think making the offer repeatedly just because you can (imagine if email cost a few cents each time?) is not reason enough to send out a lot of messages, when a simple, succinct post would suffice.
Speaking of which, I should end this message now.

| I delete all unsolicited e-mail. Also, I mark it as SPAM to avoid repeats. Why not just ignore this stuff. It takes 1 second to delete an e-mail. I am oblivious to any of the advertising here. | |
