| Hello All,
My question is, I have $3000.oo to spend for cert training. Im not sure which direction I should go for cert training.
I have several years real-world experience in Help-Desk Support L2
(IBM) , On-Site Software Support L3 (IBM Global Services)
Systems Integration Engineer (Dell ) I have been out of the Biz for a few years and I would like to return to the IT world this time w/
certification in hand.
But what direction I should go? Networking, which direction, Linux or Windows?
MCSA or MCSE or Cisco....
Which field pays more or which field has a longer life span...any thought, opinions, experiences are welcome!
Thankz,

| we can;t answer this question, because:
1. We don't know what the market you are in is looking for
2. We don't know what you actually *like* to do in this field.
This being said, an MCSE with a CCNA never hurt anyone's chances of being hired

Not sure they will get you into many head chefs positions.

| I think, Cisco and Linux..
It will be nice, if u can took those IBM and Dell exams. If u are really looking into the area. There are no much of entry or lower level opening, with your experience. U might want to look higher. Therefore a few Server level and advanced networking certifications definitly going to help u.
Good Luck |
