Afternoon / Evening / Morning

Could someone please help me out with this..

When moving, copying/pasting files and folders between volumes and within
volumes,
am I right in saying that "Files/Folders always inherit permissions unless moved
within the same
volume"? If not is there an easy way to remember how permissions are
effected?

Much appreciated!

You're lucky, just got BT to repair our phone line, after 10 days

because it was the second time we had reported a fault on the line, they said it must be down to our side (ie in the house) and weren't going to rush.

Guess what, it had been ripped out at the box in the street somewhere.

You should have told them you had a fetish for POTS, it would have been covered in the insurance!
