| Hi All,
Does anyone have any information when will mcse 2000 exams be retired completely? I already have my mcp win 2000 (70-210)and i am not sure if i have enough time to write 6 more exams to get my mcse 2000 because i am working and my schedule sucks. I checked Microsoft exams and could find any info about it.Since windows 2000 is being out for some time over 3 1/2 years, my gues that Y2K MCSE will expire by early 2006 and i could wrong too. I am considering getting my mcse, however; i am not quite sure which is better 2000 or 2003.
Any help, advise, comments or suggestion as to what pursue are always welcome and greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance..................... | |

| MCSE 2000 exams will be around for at least a few more years. All of the network administration concepts are the same in 2000 and XP. XP was built off of the 2000 kernel with some enhancements.
It's not like the huge overhaul of the OS like NT to 2000.
I always suggest getting MCSE 2000, mainly because it makes you look like you've been in IT longer (or at least understand the concepts).
Hope that helps. | |

| Thanks curiousgeorge for taking the time to post your reply.
I think i'm gonna get my mcse2000, however; my problem is not having enought time.if i run out of time then i might just get MCSA 2000 what do you think ? The only problem that i have is not finding any info on MS website about when they will retire the mcse 2000.
Do you know if there are upgrade path from MCSA2000 to MCSE 2003 or do you have to do the full 7 exams for 2003.
Thanks Bro.......... | |
